[Everything had been so crazy since that night in the Atrium that thankfully Ichimatsu hadn't had much of a chance to sleep, anyway. Sure, that meant he was tired, and that meant he was way crabbier at Karamatsu than usual, but that was fine. If he pushed him away he wouldn't be able to figure out how actually rattled the entire thing had made him.]

[It wasn't until two days later, with some power restored to the ship, that things had even remotely settled down enough for them to even really sleep at what was overall considered their "bedtime". From fitful naps holding him over since they found Rey's body, he crawled into bed alongside his brother and dropped off pretty quickly.]

[Unfortunately for them both, it was less than an hour before he woke up in a cold sweat with a shout, only to make a staggering beeline for the bathroom in their quarters and empty the contents of his stomach into the toilet. Well, so much for getting to make fun of Karamatsu for being a Vomit Princess.]

[He'd spent the most time in Acedia and Gula, he figured. He'd gone back to most of the others, and he had a decent-sized box full of the plantlife he'd harvested, sectioned off and with short notations. Everywhere but Ira and Gula he'd managed to ask natives of Bajikan to name the plants, though most of the names were hard to write in katakana and he was sure he did it wrong. Most of them sounded Western, and his stomach twisted sickly when he realized Karamatsu would be as good as anyone to consult about how to write the names out in English letters. He couldn't spell in English to save his life.]

[Osomatsu had been around, and when he'd returned from Gula on on of his last outings having run into Yuuri in the sweets shop on the 18th, he'd left a candy wrapped in red and filled with cherry where the eldest slept, and one wrapped in blue and filled with probably blue raspberry where Karamatsu slept. The blue candy remained in place, and Ichimatsu had taken to sleeping curled up on the floor with his cat beside the chest of plants he'd brought back.]

[Whenever Karamatsu returned to their quarters from his Bajikan adventures, he would find Eluvio's youngest Matsuno conked out sitting up but leaning sideways into the chest, Nyanko perched neatly atop it.]
