<sub>[ He's idly reading over a script. Also, he's dressed up like a cowboy. It's hilarious, but that's the kind of drama he's in right now. He's already had some coaching earlier today and criticized for his acting ability-- apparently his real life is affecting his work.

When Ichimatsu shows up with a parcel, though, it does erase the scowl off of his face and he looks more confused than anything. ]</sub>

A-also, I was busy before you got here!

You seem like the sort to forget to eat when you're sulking.

[But he didn't make them for you, b-baka. He extends the parcel a little farther, prompting Karamatsu to take it, and rolls his eyes.]

Right, okay. I have good timing, for once in my life, then.

_{[ It's so strange. He's having a hard time bouncing back up to his annoying, boisterous self that gleams fake confidence. He takes the parcel but doesn't quite look at it just yet. By Ichimatsu's words, he knows this is food. ]}

... you cooked something for me?

And today?

[He shrugs.]

Made it for everyone, brought some to you so you don't come home whining about being hungry. [And, maybe, just maybe, because he gives a small damn.]

You don't have to be so persistent, you know. Oi, you could have just asked again I would have agreed to go drinking with you so you shouldn't have done this, so.. I'll go drinking with you.
_{[ how is this.. persistent... whatever, he just agreed. ]}

I just told you I made them for everyone. I was gonna let it go, but if you want to that badly, who am I to say no?

[Just as keikaku. Or, not exactly, he really hadn't planned on pressing further to get drinks with him, but this worked out just as well. He nods toward the lunchbox again, frowning at the "true colors" comment.]

...you, too, I guess. We can do all the talking about feelings and true colors over drinks, though. Eat those, first.

_{[ Oh. Look at that shit eating grin. He almost looks like Ichimatsu when he grins like this. ]}

[His expression tightens a little at that. Does he only trust Karamatsu with this? It's not that he doesn't trust Osomatsu with it, but... His mouth quirks crooked.]

[He hates this. Put it back. He closes his eyes, taking in a long, careful breath and letting it out, shaking his head.]

I can't believe we're related. I really, honestly can't, sometimes.

<sub>[ And so, Karamatsu continues his work day. The usual things have put him in a sour mood, but something is especially wrong and that's probably why Ichimatsu has taken notice (other than he is a pretty perceptive person over all.) He doesn't really know what to expect tonight, but if Ichimatsu is inviting him to drink, he is curious to know what Ichimatsu's problem is too.

He comes home, taking off his shoes upon entry and announces hs arrival: ]</sub>

Oi, Ichimatsu! I'm home. I hope you didn't start without me!

[nyahilistic]

[He'd gone out. He'd gotten a pretty good amount of beer. What the fuck else was he supposed to spend his money on? Beer, and food, and cat toys. ...and, okay, some stuff at the kink convention, but he wasn't going to go telling Karamatsu about that. So he's got a couple of six packs of cans and a couple of six packs of bottles (he made sure to get enough for Osomatsu to have some, too, because he'd get sour if they were drinking without him), and was sitting on the floor with a half-empty, cold cup of tea in his hands like he'd completely forgotten he was holding it.]

[He looks up with a dull expression.]

Drinking alone is even more depressing than popping bubble wrap in the hall. I don't think I'm that bad. [Yet.]

_{[ Instantly, Karamatsu goes to the floor table to sit, but not before taking off his leather jacket. He's just in jeans and a t-shirt, though. Nothing bright and eye catching like his normal self. He'll also go for a beer and open it, brows firm together. ]}

... What's your deal, then?
_{[ jumping right in... cause he's curious.. ]}

[He blinks, looking him over for a minute like he's trying to find the pain. Where is it? He's always wearing something gaudy. Without the jacket, he just looked... normal. Huh. He reaches for his own can.]

My deal? Nuh-uh, you first.

_{[ Karamatsu takes a seat right next to Ichimatsu-- maybe a bit too close for Ichimatsu's comfort. Karamatsu has been invading your space lately, hasn't he? ]}

Ehh? What? You're the one who is so eager to drink and talk, so start talking! Why me first, hah?!

[nyahilistic]

[He sure the fuck is! Ichimatsu tenses and squirms slightly away from him, but he did solicit his attention this time, so it seems a little rude to go scorning him for contact, now. He only scoots far enough away that they're not right up on each other, though their knees are still touching.]

...Because I wanted to drink with you in some kind of effort to be considerate to the fact that you've been sleeping on the couch and obviously upset about something.

[This is... at least about half true.]

_{[ HE HEAVES AN EXASPERATED SIGH. Oh, and the drama, of course. He leaves Ichimatsu in an agonizing silence, looking away, far off into the distance (you know, staring at a wall in their living room.) ]}

I am in love with someone who cannot be mine.
_{[ ok so it's a day ending in "Y." Love is a strong word, too, so he obviously has no idea what he's talking about. ]}

[nyahilistic]

[...Ah. Well that... smarts, in a way he hadn’t expected, so it’s a very sudden, sharp laugh that escapes him.]

[A moment later he brings his hands up, apologetic.]

Ah, shit, I’m not laughing at you, I’m. Laughing at myself, for you saying that. Should I guess who or are you gonna tell me?

_{[ He will answer. It's long-winded, but he will answer. ]}

I shouldn't leave you in the dark much longer. My complicated feelings have only manifested into something far too much than I can handle. I have opened myself up to somebody because we became good friends and now I feel like I cannot catch up to my heart-- my heart will not listen to matter how much I tell it to stop.

[He's really quiet, for a long time, but there's a funny little smile on his face as he looks at his can of beer. He knew that. It wasn't like he was subtle about it, really, and they were brothers. Sure, Karamatsu was dense as a sack of bricks sometimes, but Ichimatsu was an observant guy, seeing things he rarely ever spoke up about. The smile on his face sours abruptly into something like a grimace as the notion that Aoba is Karamatsu's soulmate resurfaces, and he chugs the rest of his can of beer.]

What makes you say he can't be yours? The guy he was weirdly obsessively betrothed to is gone now, isn't he? Take your chance. He's blue, and everything.

[He won't make eye contact, and his grip on the now-empty beer can is perhaps just a little too tight, the aluminum pinching inward.]

This is news to him because just a few days ago he had overstepped his boundaries-- took a kiss he didn't deserve and made Aoba all upset. Had Noiz left between now and then? That quickly? If so, Aoba probably needs time to recover. Karamatsu is dumb but he knows when people leave it takes awhile to recover. Jyushimatsu and his girl is a perfect example of that. ]}

_{[ He doesn't know, but he looks agitated. He slowly takes a good, long drink from his beer as well. He's got an empty can too and instinctively crunches it together without realizing it. Look at them, copying each other's movements. ]}

I don't know, I probably ruined anything like that.

He's still here, though. Don't waste your chance completely.

[His tone is... dull. Duller than usual. It's that thing he does when he's being particularly hard on himself.]

_{[ Karamatsu is really stupid, but he can tell with that wording and tone in Ichimatsu's voice and he tilts his head. Is Ichimatsu saying something here? ]}

... Ichimatsu. Did you miss your chance with someone?
